My grandfather, José Caldas, a trade unionist and socialist councillor, was shot in Vigo on May 12, 1937, during the Spanish Civil War. My voice-over, photographs from the family album and the Pacheco studio, are the common threads of this story of loss and violence. Past and present, family history and collective history, transgenerational memory and social history intersect in a film that demands justice and in which the feminist gaze is persistent.
