PATROCINIO

By Audrius Stonys and Marta Andreu

In this special occasion Play-Doc presents with the support of the Galician Audiovisual Agency, a particular workshop-seminar where the inhabitants of Tui will become the main characters. Under the title The Filmed Portrait, a small number of filmmakers will depict some of the people from Tui by a series of short documentaries that will be screened at the festival. As part of the exercise, filmmakers will be sheltered by the villagers in their homes, living with them during the whole week. The aim of the workshop is to reflect about the process of creation, about how to build a cinematographic approach and what is the relationship between the one who films and the one who is being filmed. The result will be a collection of films that will conform a kind of portrait of Tui and its inhabitants. The workshop is coordinated by multi-awarded Lithuanian filmmaker Audrius Stonys and Spanish producer Marta Andreu.

Starting from the central theme of the seminar, Play-Doc will organise an informal discussion with Marta and Audrius and all the invited directors that want to join us, at the Play-Doc Bar, on Friday 20th at 17:30h. You will be welcome to participate too!
